The Free Ross-A-Thon livestream is being hosted by FreeRoss.org to bring awareness to Ross Ulbricht’s Silk Road trial and to raise funds for the printing and binding of Ulbricht’s appeal documents. Ulbricht is now serving, and appealing, a double life sentence for all non-violent charges based on his alleged role in the Silk Road website/marketplace.
The livestream will be held on December 4th from 2-10pm EST and will feature well-known economists, activists, policy analysts, historians, and film-makers. The guests will speak about the implications this case has on the future of ecommerce, liberty, privacy, the war on drugs, the criminal justice system, digital currencies, and civil liberties.
Livestream attendees will have the ability to donate directly to the the Free Ross campaign or purchase items from the lifestream’s online store. All of the proceeds will go directly to Ulbricht’s defense fund. The livestream can be viewed at FreeRossAThon.com. And, of course, Tatiana Moroz will be there!
